Week 8- 1 Pocket Park
Week
8- 1 Pocket
Park
When I came to Sydney, I found that the biggest difference between Sydney and Chinese cities is the green spaces and parks that can be seen everywhere. It gives people a feeling of special comfort. I know that most Chinese cities are space limited, have a large population and cannot have the large-scale green space system. So today I went online to find information about pocket parks. Pocket parks are often built on a vacant building or on irregularly small plots of land. They can also be created as part of the public space requirements of large building projects. They can provide greenery, outdoor event space as well as children's playgrounds, and can also be created around monuments, art projects.

Greenacre Park in Midtown Manhattan, New
York, has beautiful waterfalls, eucalyptus trees and movable tables and chairs.
At only 60 feet by 120 feet area, a fountain is used to guide visitors into the
space, where they are welcomed by a 25-foot cascade waterfall that provides a
comfortable space. I really like this kind of park. In the future, I will pay
more attention to the space that exists around me.
