Week 9- 1 A model of sustainable design

Week 9- 1 A model of sustainable design

Last year, I was fortunate to visit the Natural Museum in Shanghai. I was amazed by the shape of the building and I was very concerned about its design philosophy. When I listened to the teacher's speech in this class this semester, I immediately thought of it. The design of the Shanghai Museum of Natural History is inspired by the shell structure of the “snail”. The data shows that the entire center has more than 160 kinds of plants, which are combined with pools of different sizes to show the Chinese landscape culture. The entire building has a large area of green roof, and the green roofing technology has good thermal insulation function. It is shocking that the annual electricity consumption can reach 240,000 kilowatts. The building also has integrated solar energy utilization and natural light guiding technology, rainwater recycling system, etc. This is a well-deserved green ecological building.
I have found that green buildings are being promoted all over the world. I mentioned the signs of Fukuoka in Japan and the green buildings in Sydney. These buildings not only have a good design appearance, but also save energy and provide a sustainable development direction.
